my genius

My Genius

When you hear the word genius everyone thinks of a super smart person or an outstanding person who is good at what they do best, but that's not always true. Thomas Armstrong looked up genius and genial in a dictionary. He put two definition together and got "giving birth to one's joy", which means to do something that makes you happy. Armstrong also thought genius was a symbol for an person individual's potential. It means everyone is a genius in their own way, no two people are alike. There are 12 qualities of being a genius which are: curiosity, playfulness, imagination, creativity, wonder, wisdom, inventiveness, vitality, sensitivity, flexibility, humor, and joy. I'm a genius in my own way. I may not be super smart but I have the qualities of being imagination and sensitivity.

To be an imagination genius mean to have vivid images and have an large imagination. I can always imagine what people are saying when they tell me about their day or a story. For example, during history class my imagination usually does a play by play on what happened during the revolutionary war as the teacher speaks and sometimes I space out seen something else she/he may have said that caught my attention My imagination sometimes just roams freely. It what makes me an imagination genius.

I am also a sensitivity genius. Sensitivity is defined by Thomas Armstrong as "a clear asset that enriches the experience of life by making it more vivid". It means by to have a deeper understanding that a normal person would not have because of the emotional feeling felt. I'm an sensitive genius because when I learn about World war two I always get emotional thinking of all the terrible things that have occur and the pain that people must of felt. I guess when I can imagine what it must have felt and I have a stronger grips then a normal person would.

To be a genius doesn't mean I have to be nerdy smart and get an "A" on every test or out smart everyone. No one is better then anyone else. Sometimes people know more in one subject than others. Every single person is a genius in their own way. I'm a genius in my own way and the other person in their own way. The qualities of being a genius are unique and simple. No one has to be nerdy smart to be a genius.
