My PlanPresident Barack Obama delivered an inspiring speech to all students who are going back to school. In his speech President Barack Obama said "But at the end of the day, the circumstances of your life- what you look like, where you come from, how much money you have, what you've got going on at home that's no excuse for neglecting your homework or having a bad attitude......Where you are right now doesn't have to determine where you'll end up. No one's written your destiny for you. Here in America, you write your own destiny. You make your own future". President Obama is trying to say there a second chance in doing better. It doesn't matter in what bad situation I have. It doesn't give me the excuse of giving up my future at a better life. Yea, my life may not be picket white fence perfect. This is reality nothing is perfect. People make mistakes but that doesn't mean it's the end, that I should just give up. Our life's aren't written out for us. We can change it and write our own destiny. This part of his speech actually spoke to me. I haven't been doing well in school but that why I left my old school in hope of doing better by isolating myself from my friends and try and get better grades in school. I'm trying to clean up act to change my life to graduate out of high school and go to a good college. To graduate out of high school I'm going to have to take small steps at a time and do everything I can to pass. I would first come to school early each day and be ready to learn. I would have to do all my homework, projects, and essays to pass my classes. I would make sure I do all by rewarding myself at the end of the school year. Another part of President Obama's speech that spoke to me was "Some of the most successful people in the world are the ones who've had the most failures. JK Rowling's first Harry Potter book was rejected twelve times before it was finally published. Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team, and he lost hundreds of games and missed thousands of shots during his career.........These people succeeded because they understand that you can't let your failures define you- you have to let them teach you. You have to let them show you what to do differently next time.", Obama is trying to say I can't let failure define me and take over. Just cause I messed up doesn't mean I'm going to give up. I'm not going to get up trying to graduate out of hight school. If I don't sudeed the first time, I'm going to get up and try again. Life is about trying and learning from mistakes. Obama's speech inspired me to do better in school. I can't accomplish everything I set myself to accomplish all in the first time. It's about take some hard hits and keep myself going for a better future. There's no such thing as destiny being already written. I can write my own destiny and change it around. It won't be simple but if I work hard at it I will success.
